Brooklyn Short was the floor general for some of the best teams in the women's basketball team's history. She earned 2013-14 NAIA Honorable Mention All-America, leading her squad to a 25-7 record during a historic campaign that featured a conference regular season title, conference tournament title and the first national tournament victory in school history. During her final season in Hammond, Short averaged 12.4 points and 4.1 assists and became the 18th member of the program's 1,000-Point Club. A three-time all-conference selection, she finished her career among the team's all-time leaders in assists, three-point field goals and steals. The Wabash, Ind. native was also named to the Daktronics-NAIA Women's Basketball Scholar-Athlete list and the conference All-Academic Team for her outstanding classroom achievements.
