Vermejan helped headline the most successful class in program history, as Purdue Calumet rolled up 72 victories during his four-year career including a school-record 21 wins in 1985-86. The 5-foot-11 guard ranks fourth on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,505 career points, after pouring in 1,063 points in his final two seasons at Purdue Calumet. He earned NAIA Honorable Mention All-American honors in 1985-86, while garnering NAIA All-District 21 recognition two times including Player-of-the-Year honors in 1985-86.
