The Purdue Northwest baseball team closed out its road matchup with a strong performance on Saturday, shutting out St. Francis (Ill.) 6-0 at Slammers Stadium.

- Purdue Northwest used a dominant sixth inning and strong pitching to secure the shutout victory.
- Brayden Barrett (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton) led the offense with two hits, three RBIs, and two walks, while Gabe Bush (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso) added a pair of hits and an RBI. Brett Bounds (Morris, Ill./Morris Community) also recorded two hits, and Joey Guiliano (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) drove in a run.
- After five scoreless innings, the Pride broke through in the sixth with a six-run frame. Billy Chidsey (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) opened the inning with a double, and Drew Kosteba (St. John, Ind./Lake Central) followed with a single to put runners on the corners. Zach Wright (Munster, Ind./Munster) brought in the first run with a sacrifice fly before Bush added an RBI single.
- Later in the inning, Barrett delivered the big swing with a bases-clearing double to drive in three runs, and Guiliano followed with an RBI single to cap the scoring and give Purdue Northwest a 6-0 lead.
- On the mound, Colin Pfeifer (Morris, Ill./Morris Community) set the tone, tossing 5.0 scoreless innings while allowing just two hits and striking out five to earn the win. Preston Burton (Sellersburg, Ind./Silver Creek) closed out the final four innings, allowing three hits while striking out four to complete the shutout.
