The Purdue Northwest Men's track and field team headed to University Center, Michigan this Saturday and Sunday to compete in the 2026 GLIAC Indoor Championships. The week was highlighted by multiple scoring performances, personal bests, and new Division II national marks across jumps, sprints, relays, and distance events.
Lucas Bass (Maple Park, Ill./Kaneland) would be the Pride standout, taking first place in the men's long jump and 2
nd place in triple jump.

- Men's Long Jump: Lucas Bass (Maple Park, Ill./Kaneland) led the Pride with a 1st-place finish and a new Division II #95 season-best mark of 7.05m (23'1.75"). Eli Baumann (Allendale, Mich./Allendale) placed 6th at 6.68m (21'11.00"), Kael Schlosser (Hobart, Ind./Hobart) finished 11th with a jump of 6.43m (21'1.25"), and Quinten McToy (Highland, Ind./Highland) placed 13th at 6.23m (20'5.25").
- Men's Triple Jump: Lucas Bass (Maple Park, Ill./Kaneland) added a 2nd-place finish with a season-best leap of 14.11m (46'3.50"). Zack Bosi (Spring Valley, Ill./Hall) placed 7th at 12.20m (40'0.50"), and Josh Ortiz finished 8th with a season-best 12.16m (39'10.75").
- Men's Pole Vault: Cantrell Brooks (Porter, Texas/Porter) cleared 4.69m (15'4.50") to place 5th overall, earning a new Division II #82 season-best mark.
- Men's High Jump: Eli Baumann (Allendale, Mich./Allendale) cleared 2.02m (6'7.50") to place 8th, while Jeremy Melton (Pontiac, Ill./Pontiac Township) finished 9th at 1.97m (6'5.50").
- Men's 60m Hurdles – Prelims: Kyden Boyer (Marshal, Ill./Marshall) placed 10th in 8.66 (personal best). Allen Akins (Gary, Ind./) finished 11th in 8.73 (season best), and Dylan Guilford (Winamac, Ind./Winamac Community) placed 12th in 10.53 (personal best).
- Men's 60m – Prelims: AJ Jenkins (Elgin, Ill.) placed 16th with a personal-best 7.07, while Marcus Bowens-Caselberry (Prairie View, Ill./Adlai E. Stevenson) finished 22nd in 7.23.
- Men's 200m – Prelims: Jenkins placed 16th in 22.72 (personal best). Bowens-Caselberry finished 20th in 22.98, Carson Bateman (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville) placed 21st in 23.28 (season best), and Boyer finished 23rd in 23.45 (personal best).
- Men's 400m – Prelims: Willie Clay (Laporte, Ind./Laporte) placed 5th in 49.23 (season best), Carson Bell (Hobart, Ind./Hobart) finished 8th in 49.70, Max Nauman (Skokie, Ill./Niles West) placed 11th in 50.30, and Niko Marinkovich (Crown Point, Ind./Lake Central) finished 15th in 53.20.
- Men's 400m – Final: Bell placed 7th in 49.23 (season best), while Clay finished 8th in 49.27 (season best).
- Men's 800m: Hayden Podlin (Dyer, Ind./Lake Central HS) placed 15th with a season-best time of 1:58.55.
- Men's Mile: Josh Tuck (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton) finished 13th in 4:29.83 (personal best), and Brandan Bagnara (Oak Forest, Ill./Oak Forest) placed 16th in 4:34.44.
- Men's 3000m: James Snow placed 12th with a personal-best 8:44.09. Jalen Strietelmeier (/Highland, Ind.) did not start.

- Men's Weight Throw: Andrew Juszczak (Lowell, Ind./Lowell) placed 15th with a mark of 12.87m (42'2.75").
- Men's Distance Medley Relay: The 'A' team of Josh Tuck (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton), Jaziah Green (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike), Hayden Podlin (Dyer, Ind./Lake Central HS), and James Snow placed 6th overall in 10:21.56, earning a new Division II #60 season-best mark.
- Men's 4x400m Relay: The squad of Carson Bell (Hobart, Ind./Hobart), Max Nauman (Skokie, Ill./Niles West), Jaziah Green (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike), and Willie Clay (Laporte, Ind./Laporte) finished 5th in 3:19.61.
