Men's and Women's Track and Field compete in Aurora Grand Prix

The Purdue Northwest Track and Field team headed out to Aurora, Illinois this week to compete in the Aurora Grand Prix where the Pride would have another strong showing with multiple first place finishes.

Men Notable Results:
  • Men's 60m: Myles Sisco (Portage, Ind./Portage) delivered a standout performance, finishing 1st with a time of 6.96 seconds. Kalen Cummings (Indianapolis, Ind./Pike) also had a solid race, placing 8th in 7.07 seconds.
  • Men's 60m Hurdles: Allen Akins (Gary, Ind.) crossed the line in 6th place with a time of 8.94 seconds, showcasing strong technique. Freshman Kyden Boyer (Marshal, Ill.) followed closely, finishing 8th in 9.06 seconds.
  • Men's 200m: Alejandro Bravo (Highland, Ind.), a freshman, recorded a personal best of 23.22 seconds, earning him 27th place overall.
  • Men's 400m: Carson Bell (Hobart, Ind./Hobart) impressed with a quick 49.87 seconds, securing 5th place in the event. Willie Clay (Laporte, Ind.) wasn't far behind, claiming 6th with a time of 50.21 seconds.
  • Men's 1 Mile: Jackson Bakker (Lowell, Ind./Lowell) displayed endurance and speed, finishing 4th with a strong time of 8:42.24.
  • Men's High Jump: Eli Baumann (Allendale, Mich./Allendale) cleared 1.90m (6-02.75) to place 3rd, while Justin Farris (Lindale, Texas) followed with a jump of 1.81m (5-11.25), earning him 8th.
  • Men's Long Jump: Jamon Miller (Michigan City, Ind.) delivered a great effort, landing in 4th with a mark of 6.51m (21-04.25). Jaydon Tarohocker (Sarasota, Fla.) also performed well, finishing 7th with a jump of 6.40m (21-00.00).
  • Men's Pole Vault: Freshman Cantrell Brooks (Porter, Texas/Porter) impressed with a 2nd place finish, clearing 4.40m (14-05.25). Noah Thames (Brighton, Mich.) also had a strong outing, taking 4th by clearing 4.10m (13-05.25).
  • Men's Triple Jump: JC Ramirez (Odessa, Texas/Odessa) dominated the competition, leaping 13.81m (45-03.75) to secure 1st place. Andre Taylor (West Palm Beach, Fla./Palm Beach Lakes) added to the team's success with a jump of 13.42m (44-00.50), finishing 4th.
  • Relays: The Men's 4x200m Relay team delivered a winning performance, clocking 1:29.18 to take 1st place. The Men's 4x400m Relay team put in a strong effort, finishing 4th with a time of 3:22.37.
Women Notable Results:
  • Women's 60m: Freshman Chisom Chukwuocha (Indianapolis, Ind.) ran a personal best of 8.30 seconds, securing 17th place overall. Tynia Harris (Chicago, Ill./Griffith) also competed, finishing in 32nd with a time of 8.87 seconds.
  • Women's 60m Hurdles: Alaina Schultze (Indianapolis, Ind./Heritage Christian) showed consistency, placing 9th with a time of 9.52 seconds. Cailey Weber (Hobart, Ind./Hobart) followed with a time of 10.05 seconds, taking 18th place.
  • Women's 200m: Maya Butler (Dyer, Ind.), a senior, achieved a personal best of 29.58 seconds, placing 37th in the event.
  • Women's 400m: Maya Butler (Dyer, Ind.) delivered another strong effort, clocking 1:07.80 to finish 19th. Freshman Johanna Compton () ran a personal best of 1:16.65, earning her 23rd place.
  • Women's 800m: Sara McGraw (Indianapolis, Ind./Roncalli) ran an impressive race, finishing 7th with a personal best of 2:22.62. Alyssa Dunlap (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton) also performed well, crossing the line in 15th place with a time of 2:30.01.
  • Women's 3000m: Sophomore Myrriam Dhoore (LaPorte, Ind./LaPorte) clocked a personal best of 10:41.39 to take 8th place. Kennedy Cox (Las Vegas, Nev./Sommerset Sky Pointe) also set a personal record, finishing in 13th with a time of 11:19.46.
  • Women's High Jump: Both Kelli Blissett (Aurora, Ill./Metea Valley) and Alaina Schultze (Indianapolis, Ind./Heritage Christian) cleared 1.45m (4-09.00), placing 12th and 13th, respectively.
  • Women's Shot Put: Freshman Kaelin Kreischer (Valparaiso, Ind./Morgan Township) threw 8.25m (27-00.75) to finish 23rd. Jada Addo followed closely with a mark of 8.22m (26-11.75), while senior Kelsi Dillon (Braidwood, Ill./Reed-Custer) reached 7.64m (25-00.75).
  • Women's Triple Jump: Senior Kiara Spates (Markham, Ill./Thorton Township) delivered a standout performance, finishing 3rd with a jump of 11.01m (36-01.50).
  • Women's Weight Throw: Jada Addo threw 11.85m (38-10.50) to finish 9th. Freshman Kaelin Kreischer (Valparaiso, Ind./Morgan Township) recorded a personal best of 9.67m (31-08.75) for 24th place, while senior Kelsi Dillon (Braidwood, Ill./Reed-Custer) followed with a mark of 8.21m (26-11.25).
  • Relays: The Women's 4x200m Relay team secured 2nd place with a time of 1:48.39. In the Women's 4x400m Relay, the team delivered a strong 5th-place finish in 4:06.88.
