Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 On Saturday, the Purdue Northwest baseball team faced off against Wisconsin Parkside for games two and three of a four game series where the Pride would unfortunately drop both games to the Rangers.
 
The Basics

The Breakdown
GAME ONE – L (4-0) 7 Innings
  • Aden Johnson () would lead the Pride with two hits.
  • Sam Ochoa (Oak Forest, Ill./Oak Forest) started on the mound for Purdue Northwest throwing six innings while striking out five.
  • E. Ferreira led Parkside with a hit and two RBIs.
  • K. Schulist started and threw seven innings, striking out five for the Rangers.
  • Parkside set the tone early with a powerful homer to left center in the first inning, putting Parkside ahead 2-0.
  • The momentum continued in the second inning as Parkside added two more homers, extending Parkside's led to 4-0.
  • The Pride would try to get on the board and mount a comeback but couldn't get anything going.
GAME TWO – L (14-13) 10 Innings
  • Cole Olson (Stanton, Mich./Central Montcalm) would lead the Pride with three hits and two RBIs.
  • Owen Winters (Kouts, Ind./Kouts) would also contribute a hit and three RBIs.
  • Noah Burgh (Warsaw, Ind./Warsaw Community High School) started on the mound for Purdue Northwest throwing four innings while striking out two.
  • Koto Sato led Parkside with three hits and four RBIs.
  • The game started off with Parkside taking an early lead in the second inning, capitalizing on key opportunities to push ahead by four runs. However, Purdue Northwest quickly responded in the fifth inning with a flurry of offensive prowess.
  • Billy Jones () set the tone with a crucial double down the left field line, driving in two runs and sparking the team's rally. Drake Ballard (Louisville, Ky./Martha Laynes Collins) and Cole Olson (Stanton, Mich./Central Montcalm) followed suit with timely hits, bringing in additional runs to even the score at 4-4.
  • The Pride continued their offensive onslaught, with Hayden Matulich (San Jose, Calif./Pioneer) delivering a clutch single to give his team their first lead of the game. The momentum carried into the seventh inning, as Owen Winters (Kouts, Ind./Kouts) unleashed a towering homer to left center, bringing in three more runs and extending Purdue Northwest's lead to 11-7.
  • However, Parkside refused to go down without a fight, rallying back in the later innings with a barrage of powerful hits to tie the game at 13-13. In a tense extra-inning showdown, Parkside managed to clinch the victory with a late rally, ultimately securing a narrow 14-13 win over the Pride.
