On Thursday in Auburndale, FL, the Purdue Northwest Baseball team faced off against Minnesota Crookston and Wayne State in a doubleheader. Unfortunately, the Pride suffered defeats in both games, falling 5-1 to Minnesota Crookston in the first game and 4-0 to Wayne State in the second.

- Senior Brett Matthys and Senior Luke Montgomery (Orland Park, Ill./St. Laurence High School) led the Pride with two hits each.
- Senior Hayden Matulich (San Jose, Calif./Pioneer) also contributed a hit and an RBI.
- Senior Noah Burgh (Warsaw, Ind./Warsaw Community High School) started on the mound for Purdue Northwest throwing 5.1 innings and striking out three while allowing four hits.
- Senior Jack Sielatycki (Portage, Mich./Portage Northern) threw 3.2 innings of relief for the Pride, striking out three.
- Kobe Senn led Saint Leo with two hits and an RBI.
- Brody Sorenson started and pitched 6.2 innings for the Eagles and struck out six batters.
- Purdue Northwest scored their only run in the 1st inning when Matulich, hit a single to right field, bringing Montgomery home. This the Pride an early 1-0 lead.
- Minnesota Crookston equalized in the 2nd inning with a home run to right field, tying the game at 1-1.
- The momentum shifted in the 3rd inning when Minnesota Crookston capitalized on an error in left field, allowing them to score and take the lead.
- Another run was added when a ground out to shortstop brought in a runner, making the score 3-1 in favor of Minnesota Crookston.
- In the 6th inning, Minnesota Crookston extended their lead to 4-1 with a single to right field.
- The final blow came in the 8th inning when a single to center field brought in another run for Minnesota Crookston, increasing their lead to 5-1 and securing victory.
Game Two – L, 4-0 (9 Innings)
The Breakdown:
- Junior Dan Puplava () led the Pride with one hit.
- Senior Sam Ochoa (Oak Forest, Ill./Oak Forest) started on the mound for Purdue Northwest throwing five innings and striking out three while allowing nine hits.
- Tony Hatzigeorgiou led Wayne State with three hits and two RBIs.
- Griffin Kilander started and pitched all nine innings for the Warriors and struck out fourteen batters.
- Wayne State scored their first run in the 1st inning with a single to right field, bringing in a runner from second base.
- In the 5th inning, Wayne State extended their lead with a single to center field, resulting in two runs scored.
- Later in the 5th inning, Wayne State added another run with a ground out to second base, bringing in a runner from third base.
- The Warriors would close out the game to secure a 4-0 victory over the Pride.
