On Tuesday, the Purdue Northwest Baseball team traveled to St. Petersburg, Florida, to compete against Eckerd College in an evening game under the lights. Unfortunately, the Pride suffered a defeat to the Tritons with a final score of 13-0.

The Breakdown:
- Sophomore Drake Ballard (Louisville, Ky./Martha Laynes Collins), Senior Brett Matthys, and Sophomore Owen Winters (Kouts, Ind./Kouts) led the Pride with a hit each.
- Junior Jake Nightingale (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso) started on the mound for Purdue Northwest throwing three innings and striking out three while allowing nine hits.
- Alex Brazer led Eckerd with two hits and four RBIs.
- Gavin Grubbs started and pitched five innings for the Tritons and struck out four batters.
- Purdue Northwest struggled as the Tritons surged ahead with a commanding lead. In the third inning, Eckerd scored three runs, fueled by a combination of singles and a throwing error. They added three more runs in the fourth, capitalizing on errors and timely hits. Another run came in the fifth inning, followed by one more in the sixth. The Pride tried to get their offense up and running but it was too late falling to the Tritons 13-0.
