JC Ramirez wins back-to-back GLIAC Championships in triple jump at GLIAC Indoor Championships

Concluding the indoor track and field season, the Purdue Northwest men's track and field team participated in the 2024 GLIAC Indoor Championships held in University Center, Michigan. The Pride secured the 7th position among 9 competing teams, and notably, Senior JC Ramirez (Odessa, Texas/Odessa) clinched the GLIAC Triple Jump championship for the second consecutive year.

Men's Triple Jump: Senior JC Ramirez (Odessa, Texas/Odessa) takes first place. (NCAA Provisional National Qualifying Mark)
Men's Triple Jump: Sophomore Lucas Bass (Maple Park, Ill./Kaneland) ended the event in second place.
Men's Triple Jump: Junior Andre Taylor (West Palm Beach, Fla./Palm Beach Lakes) takes third place.
Men's 200m: Junior Myles Sisco (Portage, Ind./Portage) ends the event in fourth place.
Men's Distance Medley Relay: Junior Quinton Bock (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point HS), Sophomore Alex Simmons (Villa Park, Ill./Willowbrook), Junior Bruce Leipart (Hobart, Ind./Hobart HS), and Sophomore Jackson Bakker (Lowell, Ind./Lowell HS) take fourth place.
Men's Heptathlon: Sophomore Wyatt Cordray (Mount Vernon, Mo./Mount Vernon) took fourth place.
Men's High Jump: Sophomore Eli Baumann (Allendale, Mich./Allendale) ended the meet in fifth place. (NCAA Provisional National Qualifying Mark)
Men's Long Jump: Sophomore Lucas Bass (Maple Park, Ill./Kaneland) took fifth place.
Men's 400m: Senior Jonathan Davis (Kennesaw, Ga./Allatoona) finished in sixth place.

Up Next:
Participants who have earned qualification for the NCAA Indoor Championships are scheduled to journey to Pittsburgh State University on Friday, March 8th, where they will engage in competition during the 2024 NCAA Indoor Championships. The exact start time is yet to be announced.
