Baseball puts up 19 runs to take down Roosevelt University

The PNW baseball team secured a huge victory over Roosevelt University this Tuesday taking down the Lakers by a score of 19-9. With this win the Pride improve to 4-1 on season.

The Basics

  • Junior Cole Olson (Stanton, Mich./Central Montcalm) led the Pride with four hits and three RBIs.
  • Senior Hayden Matulich (San Jose, Calif./Pioneer) contributed three hits and four RBIs.
  • Senior Jack Sielatycki (Portage, Mich./Portage Northern) started on the mound for Purdue Northwest.
  • L. Delgado led the Lakers with two hits and four RBIs.

  • Through the third and fifth inning the Pride would chip away bring the game within one run and then ultimately busting the game wide open.
  • The Pride would add eight runs in the fifth inning and add two more in the sixth and seventh to initiate the run rule and secure a 19-9 victory over the Lakers.
