On Friday, the Purdue Northwest baseball team kicked off their season in Owensboro, KY, securing a significant 9-3 victory against Kentucky Wesleyan College. Junior
Cole Olson (Stanton, Mich./Central Montcalm) played a pivotal role offensively, contributing with two hits and four RBIs.

•   The Pride would add two more runs in the fourth inning to take a 4-2 lead off a
Cole Olson (Stanton, Mich./Central Montcalm) two RBI single.
•   In the eighth inning the Pride would start to pull away as they tacked on two more runs.
•   KWC would try to mount a comeback in the eighth putting up another run to make it 6-3 but the Pride's offense would explode for 3 more runs in the ninth putting the game out of reach and securing a 9-3 victory.

The Pride will be back in action Saturday, February 24th for games two and three of their four game series against Kentucky Wesleyan. Game one of the doubleheader is set for 12:00 PM and game two is set for 3:00 PM.
