The Purdue Northwest women's basketball team notched a big road GLIAC win at Saginaw Valley State on Saturday afternoon, 62-55.

- Senior Mercedes Simmons (Crystal Falls, Mich./Forest Park) added another double-double with 11 points and 11 boards while also blocking four shots.

- Both teams went back-and-forth for the rest of the third but the Pride held a small lead, 42-41, heading into the fourth.
- Purdue Northwest finished the game strong outscoring the Cardinals 20-14 in the fourth and making free-throws down the stretch to seal the win, 62-55.
- In the all important four period, the Pride shot 6-of-7 from the field and went 7-of-12 from the charity stripe to help in the victory.
