Purdue Northwest Athletics announced that Jesse Ford has resigned from his position as head coach of the Pride women's basketball program.
Ford led the Pride for the past two seasons, guiding the program's growth on and off the court while mentoring student-athletes in competition and in the classroom.
"My sincere appreciation to Jesse for his dedication and commitment to our women's basketball program," said Director of Athletics Rick Costello. "He has positively impacted our student-athletes and represented Purdue Northwest with class. We wish him the best in his future endeavors."
Ford expressed gratitude for his time with the program and for the opportunity to be part of the university community.
"I'm extremely grateful for the time I've spent leading the Purdue University Northwest women's basketball program. Our Athletic Director, Rick Costello, along with Chancellor Holford, trusted me to continue to grow this program, and I thank them for that. I've had incredibly rewarding experiences with each of the student-athletes I've been fortunate to lead, and I'll miss the time spent with them while witnessing their daily growth and improvement."
Purdue Northwest will immediately begin a national search for its next head women's basketball coach.
