The 5-seeded Purdue Northwest baseball team upset the 2-seeded Davenport Panthers to begin the GLIAC Tournament on Thursday afternoon with a 9-1 victory.

- Junior Jonathan Sabotnik () led the Pride at the plate with two hits and four RBIs including one homerun and one triple.

- Freshman Conor Pangburn () started on the mound for the Pride pitching the first four innings and recording three strikeouts.
- Junior Sam Shively (Mishawaka, Ind./Mishawaka) came in the game and pitched the final five innings to earn the win with three strikeouts while giving up only one run.
- Six Davenport players each had one hit during the contest.
- Fischer started and pitched the first 6.1 innings for the Panthers and tallied four strikeouts.
- The Pride scored the first run of the game in the third inning of a Montgomery RBI to take a 1-0 lead.
- Davenport tied the game 1-1 in the sixth inning off a wild pitch.
- Purdue Northwest scored two runs in the seventh to retake the lead 3-1.
