The 5-seeded Purdue Northwest baseball team defeated the 4-seeded Grand Valley State Lakers to continue their GLIAC Tournament run on Friday night with a 13-8 victory.

- Junior Hayden Matulich (San Jose, Calif./Pioneer) led the Pride going a perfect 5-for-5 at the plate with two doubles and two RBIs. He becomes the second Pride player ever to notch five hits in a game.
- Graduate Ray Hilbrich (Schererville, Ind./Lake Central) added three hits that were all doubles along with three RBIs.
- Junior Ethan Imlach (Mokena, Ill./Mount Carmel) contributed two hits and four RBIs during the game.
- Sophomore Jayden Smith () chipped in two hits and three RBIs including a homerun.
- Senior Joe Buikema (Chicago, Ill./Notre Dame College Prep) started on the mound for the Pride and pitched one inning after having to leave due to injury.
- Freshman Ethan Getting (Portage,Mich./Portage North) came in and pitched four innings notching four strikeouts and earning the win in the process.
- Junior Noah Burgh (Warsaw, Ind./Warsaw Community High School) pitched two innings and then senior Joe Tor (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport) came in to pitch the final two innings to seal the game.
- Anderson led Grand Valley State with three hits and three RBIs.
- Phipps started and pitched the first five innings for the Lakers and tallied five strikeouts.
- The Pride took the lead early in the game scoring two runs in the first inning and take a 2-0 advantage.
- Grand Valley State tied it up 2-2 in the first.
- The Lakers grabbed the lead in the second inning scoring a run to make it 3-2.
- Purdue Northwest retook the lead in the third inning scoring two runs and making it 4-3.
- GVSU tied it up 4-4 in the fourth after a hit by pitch.
- The Pride lit up the sixth inning recording eight runs to take 12-4 advantage.
- Smith launched a solo shot in the seventh inning to extend the Pride lead to 13-4.
- The Lakers were able to tally four runs in the seventh inning but it wasn't enough as the Pride were able to shut Grand Valley State in the end, 13-8.
