The women's track and field team traveled to Bay City, Michigan this Wednesday to compete in the 2023 GLIAC Outdoor Championships. The team would take 9^th place out of ten teams and were led by Kiara Spates (Harvey, Ill./Thorton) who would take 2^nd place in the triple jump.

• Triple Jump: Sophomore Kiara Spates (Harvey, Ill./Thorton) would take 2^nd place.
• 400mH: Junior Jerralee Testa (Bridgewater, Va./Turner Asby) finished in 7^th place.
• Long Jump: Sophomore Kiara Spates (Harvey, Ill./Thorton) ended up in 7^th place.
• 10000m: Senior Christina Shaginaw (Hobart, Ind./Hobart HS) finished in 7^th place with Senior Holly Shaginaw (Hobart, Ind./Hobart HS) ending in 8^th place.
• 5000m: Senior Christina Shaginaw (Hobart, Ind./Hobart HS) would take 8^th place.
• Discus: Freshman Kaitlyn Pickering (Portage, Ind./Portage) finished in 8^th place.

• The women's track team will be back in action on Friday, May 12th, in Joliet, IL for the St. Francis Last Chance Meet. This is a two-day event. The meet time is TBA.
