- Junior Noah Burgh (Warsaw, Ind./Warsaw Community High School) started on the mound for Purdue Northwest and pitched five innings striking out four.
- R. Foley led Wayne State with three hits and two RBIs.
- K. Fitzpatri pitched seven innings for the Warriors and struck out three batters.
- Wayne State would strike first in the second inning putting up four runs.
- The Pride struggled at the plate and couldn't find a way to get a run across.
- Wayne State would add one more run in the sixth and close out the game to secure a 5-0 victory in game one.

The Breakdown

- Junior Tyler Nelson () contributed one hit in the form of a three-run homerun.
- Junior Sam Ochoa (Oak Forest, Ill./Oak Forest) started on the mound for the Pride and pitched the first six innings. He notched four strikeouts.
- H. DeLanoy led Wayne State with two hits and three RBIs.
- S. Marano started for the Warriors and pitched five innings recording one strikeout.
- Wayne State would take an early lead in the fourth inning putting up two runs.
- The Pride however would answer back in the fifth putting up four runs to take the lead from a Tyler Nelson () three run homer.
- K. Showers of Davenport would give the Panthers a one run lead in the fifth after hitting a two-run homer.
- Wayne State would answer back in the seventh inning putting up one run to make it a 4-3 ballgame.
- The Pride would add an insurance run in the eight to make it 5-3 but Wayne State would mount a successful comeback and hit a walk off homerun in the ninth inning to secure a 6-5 victory.
