The Pride baseball team picked up a big win over 17
th ranked Wayne State University this Thursday, 10-8. This win snapped Wayne States' 9 game win streak.

- Junior Luke Montgomery (Orland Park, Ill./St. Laurence High School), Junior Brad Miller (Oak Forest, Ill./Oak Forest), and Graduate Ray Hilbrich (Schererville, Ind./Lake Central) also contributed two hits each.
- Junior William Roberts (Valparaiso, Ind./Washington Township) started on the mound for Purdue Northwest but was pulled in the first inning.
- Tanderys led Wayne State with two hits and three RBIs.

- Wayne State would have a great first inning as they put up four runs.
- The Pride would answer back in the first putting up two as they took advantage of a Wayne State error.
- In the fourth inning Wayne State would pour on the runs adding four to take an 8-2 lead.
- The Pride offense however would not be silence and they began to mount a comeback. The Pride by the end of the fifth would bring the game within one. 8-7.
- The Pride would then add two in the sixth to take the lead.
- In the eighth inning the Pride would add an insurance run and freshman Sam Carlisle (Portage, Mich./Portage North) would slam the door on the mound to secure the 10-8 victory.
