The women's track and field team traveled to Romeoville, Illinois this Friday to compete in the Lewis University Invitational. Christina Shaginaw (Hobart, Ind./Hobart HS), Jerralee Testa (Bridgewater, Va./Turner Asby), Morgan Bartlett, and Holly Shaginaw (Hobart, Ind./Hobart HS) led the Pride taking first place in the distance medley relay.

Notable results:

• Distance Medley Relay: Senior Christina Shaginaw (Hobart, Ind./Hobart HS), Junior Jerralee Testa (Bridgewater, Va./Turner Asby), Senior Morgan Bartlett, and Senior Holly Shaginaw (Hobart, Ind./Hobart HS) won 1st place.
• 60mH: Freshman Alaina Schultze (Indianapolis, Ind./Heritage Christian) took 7th place.
• 4x400m Relay: Senior Christina Shaginaw (Hobart, Ind./Hobart HS), Junior Jerralee Testa (Bridgewater, Va./Turner Asby), Freshman Da'Ja Jones (Portage, Ind./Portage), and Freshman Alaina Schultze (Indianapolis, Ind./Heritage Christian) finished in 5th place.
• High Jump/Triple Jump: Sophmore Kiara Spates (Harvey, Ill./Thorton) took 6th place and 7th place.
• Shot Put/Weight Throw: Freshman Kaitlyn Pickering (Portage, Ind./Portage) took 6th place and 8th place.

• The women's track team will be back in action February 10 and 11, in Allendale, Mich. for a two-day event and Grand Valley State University. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM.
