Women's Indoor Track & Field competes at Bill Clinger Classic

The women's track and field team traveled to Allendale, MI this Saturday to compete in the GVSU Bill Clinger Classic. This is the Prides fourth indoor event of the year.
 
The Basics  
Notable results:
  •  3000m: Freshman Caitlyn Derwinski (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) took 6th place.
  • Long Jump: Freshman Sarah Nyaanga (Buffalo, N.Y./Williamsvile North) finished in 6th place with Sophomore Kiara Spates (Harvey, Ill./Thorton) taking 9th place.
  • Pentathlon: Freshman Kaitlyn Koryczan ended the race in 5th place, Freshman Alaina Schultze (Indianapolis, Ind./Heritage Christian) took 6th place, Freshman De'Yana Franco-Daye (Rockford, Ill./Guilford) finished right behind in 7th place, and Freshman Bailey Williamson (Runnells, Iowa/Southeast Polk) in 9th place.

  • The women's track team will be back in action on Friday, February 3, in Romeoville, IL for an indoor event at Lewis University. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM.
