HAMMOND, Ind. – Purdue University Calumet junior Lori Haas became the first women's tennis player in program history to earn all-Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference honors, as announced by the league office Thursday (May 7, 2015).
Haas (Bismarck, Ill./Bismarck-Henning) was selected to the six-member all-conference singles team, joining three players from league runner-up Olivet Nazarene and two from Robert Morris.
Haas finished the 2014-15 season with a school-record 11 wins, compiling an 11-3 overall mark at No. 1 singles, including a 6-2 mark in conference matches. Her other loss was to Division I Wayne State's Yashsa Moore.
A history major, Haas was also a standout in the classroom, earning a 4.0 grade point average.
Her league honor marked the first in Peregrine tennis history, which completed its best mark in its fifth season of competition, finishing 9-6. That mark included Purdue Calumet's first-ever postseason victory, an 8-1 win over Calumet College of St. Joseph in the CCAC Quarterfinals.
