WINONA LAKE, Ind. - The Purdue University Calumet women's tennis team won for the third time in their last four matches, defeating Grace College, 6-3, on Thursday afternoon. The Peregrines improve to 3-10 overall with the victory.
The Black and Gold once again dominated singles play, scoring five points en route to the victory. Lori Haas pushed her single season record for wins to eight with a 6-1, 6-4 triumph in No. 1 singles. Amber Haworth improved to 7-6 on the year with a straight-sets victory in No. 2 singles, while Ashley Pabey, Sarah Storm and Lauren Innes won at No. 3, No. 4 and No. 5 singles.
The doubles tandem of Innes and Pabey scored the other point for the Peregrines, claiming an 8-5 win in No. 2 doubles action.
Purdue Calumet will be back in action tomorrow, April 18, when it hosts Roosevelt. First serve is set for 11 a.m.
