Peregrines Drop Regular Season Finale to USF

LOCKPORT, Ill. - The Purdue University Calumet women's tennis team fell to St. Francis, 8-1, in the regular-season finale for both teams on Saturday afternoon. The Peregrines will head to the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament next week with a 4-11 overall record and a 3-4 mark in CCAC play.

Moving to No. 1 singles for the first time this season, Amber Haworth picked up her ninth overall victory of the year by a score of 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (10-5) to account for the Peregrines only point of the contest. Haworth nearly swept her action on the day though, teaming up with Ashley Pabey in a close 9-7 loss in No. 1 doubles.

The Black and Gold will begin CCAC Tournament play on Monday, April 21, when they take on Robert Morris in the opening round.
