GRIFFITH, Ind. - The Purdue University Calumet women's tennis team continued its stellar play, winning the fourth match in its last five contests with a 9-0 sweep of Roosevelt on Friday afternoon at the Match Point Tennis Club.
Seniors Felicia Deardorff and Lauren Innes wrapped up their final collegiate home match in fashion, as Innes blanked her opponent en route to a straight-set win at No. 4 singles and Deardorff posted a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 5 singles. The Hammond natives also teamed up to record an 8-1 win at No. 2 doubles.
Lori Haas, Amber Haworth and Ashley Pabey each cruised to straight-set wins at No. 1, No. 2 and No. 3 singles, while the tandem of Haas and Haworth took down their Roosevelt counterparts with an 8-2 triumph at No. 1 doubles.
Purdue Calumet will close out its regular season tomorrow, when it faces St. Francis (Ill.) in Lockport, Ill.
