Game 2: L (9-1) (9 Innings)

• Drew Kosteba (St. John, Ind./Lake Central) collected a hit and scored the lone run for the Pride.
• Ian O'Connor (Avondale Estates, Ga./Druid Hills) added a pinch-hit single in the seventh inning.
• Bryce Bounds drove in Purdue Northwest's only run with a sacrifice fly.
• Brady Cash took the loss on the mound.
• Kentucky Wesleyan struck first with a run in the opening inning before erupting for four runs in the second, highlighted by a three-run homer from Hutson and a solo home run from Dysholm to take a 5-0 lead.
• The Pride got on the board in the third. Kosteba singled and later scored on a sacrifice fly from Bounds to cut the deficit to 5-1.
• Kentucky Wesleyan added four more runs in the sixth inning to extend the lead to 9-1.
• Purdue Northwest threatened in the seventh with a pair of baserunners but could not capitalize as the Panthers secured the split.
