The Purdue Northwest baseball team wrapped up their weekend series on the road against Kentucky Wesleyan on Sunday, where the Pride fell 7-5 in a nine-inning battle.

• Brayden Barrett (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton) led the offense with a 2-for-4 performance, scoring a run and swiping three bases.
• Denham Kozy (Munster, Ind./Munster) went 2-for-5 with an RBI and a run scored.
• Nathan Koster (Mount Pleasant, Mich./Mount Pleasant) delivered a key two-RBI double in the eighth inning.
• Joey Guiliano (Plainfield, Ill./Plainfield North) added a hit and an RBI, while Billy Chidsey (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point) drove in a run.
• Ian O'Connor (Avondale Estates, Ga./Druid Hills) recorded a hit and scored a run.
• Cody Hazzard (Mazon, Ill./Yorkville Christian) took the loss on the mound, allowing six runs in 2.0 innings of work.
• Kentucky Wesleyan struck first with a run in the second inning before the Pride answered in the third. O'Connor singled to start the rally, and Barrett followed with a base hit before Guiliano reached on an error to plate the tying run. Chidsey grounded out to bring home another run, and Kozy added an RBI single to give Purdue Northwest a 3-1 advantage.
• The Panthers responded with a five-run third inning to reclaim the lead at 6-3.
• Kentucky Wesleyan added another run in the seventh to extend the margin to 7-3.
• The Pride mounted a late push in the eighth. Kozy and Winters singled to set the table before Koster doubled to left, driving in two runs to cut the deficit to 7-5. Purdue Northwest brought the tying run to the plate in the ninth after a Guiliano double, but the comeback attempt fell short as Kentucky Wesleyan secured the win.
