- The Pride responded in the third quarter, tightening up defensively and finding rhythm offensively to cut into the deficit. Purdue Northwest outscored Roosevelt 19-15 in the period but still trailed 55-47 entering the fourth.
- In the final quarter, Roosevelt answered each Pride run and capitalized at the free-throw line to maintain control. Despite a late push from Purdue Northwest, the early deficit proved too much to overcome as the Lakers secured the 74-62 victory.
