The Purdue Northwest Women's Basketball team continued its GLIAC road trip on Saturday afternoon, falling to Roosevelt, 74-62, in Chicago, Illinois.

The Breakdown
  • Roosevelt jumped out to a strong start in the opening quarter, using efficient shooting to take a 21-14 lead after one. The Lakers extended their advantage in the second period, heading into halftime with a 40-28 lead.
  • The Pride responded in the third quarter, tightening up defensively and finding rhythm offensively to cut into the deficit. Purdue Northwest outscored Roosevelt 19-15 in the period but still trailed 55-47 entering the fourth.
  • In the final quarter, Roosevelt answered each Pride run and capitalized at the free-throw line to maintain control. Despite a late push from Purdue Northwest, the early deficit proved too much to overcome as the Lakers secured the 74-62 victory.
