The Purdue Northwest Women's Basketball team battled early, but a strong second-half surge by #12 Northern Michigan lifted the Wildcats to an 82-57 GLIAC victory on Saturday afternoon at the PNW Fitness & Recreation Center.

• Purdue Northwest matched the nationally ranked Wildcats in the opening quarter, trailing just 18-17 after the first 10 minutes. The Pride shot 46.7 percent in the period and knocked down a pair of three-pointers to keep pace.
• Northern Michigan began to create separation in the second quarter, outscoring the Pride 20-12 to take a 38-29 lead into halftime. Despite solid defensive stretches, the Wildcats' efficiency and depth began to shift momentum.
• After Purdue Northwest trimmed the deficit to single digits early in the third, Northern Michigan responded with a strong shooting stretch, finishing the quarter 9-of-16 from the field to extend the lead to 60-46 entering the final frame.
• The Wildcats continued their offensive rhythm in the fourth quarter, using a 22-11 advantage over the final 10 minutes to secure the 82-57 win.
