This past weekend the Purdue Northwest men's tennis team traveled to Allendal, Michigan to compete in the 2025 ITA Division II Midwest Regional Championships. The Pride had several strong showings across both singles and doubles play. In Flight A singles, Samuel Dickson (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic/Glory of God) battled his way to the Round of 16 after earning a gritty three-set victory over Findlay's Clement Andrieu. Dani Chicano i Melero, Yohann Meunier (Paris, France/Institution Jeanne d'arc), and Joao Martins (Hammond, Ind./) also picked up opening-round wins in a competitive A Draw. In doubles, the team of Chicano Melero and Dickson made the deepest run for the Pride, advancing to the quarterfinals after knocking off Walsh and Indianapolis before falling to Grand Valley State. In Flight B singles, Pedro Diaz (Marbella, Andalucia/IES Rio Verde) Camacho and Raphael Valente (Paris, France/French Touch Academy) each captured opening-round victories to add to the Pride's solid weekend performances.
