Women's Basketball falters in strong effort at home against Michigan Tech

The Purdue Northwest women's basketball team gave a strong effort in GLIAC action on Thursday evening but ultimately fell in the end against Michigan Tech, 78-62.

  • The Pride came out in the second half with great effort to cut the lead to 38-34 after going an 11-0 run with six minutes left in the third.
  • Both teams continued to battle for the remainder of the third quarter as the Huskies once again clung to a double-digit advantage going into the fourth up 54-44.
  • The fourth was saw Michigan Tech takes things over as they out-scored the Pride 24-18 and ended up sealing the win after a great effort from Purdue Northwest, 78-62.
  • The Pride led the game in points off turnovers, 19-10.
  • Purdue Northwest finished the contest outscoring the Huskies in fast break points, 14-3.
  • The Pride ended the game going a near perfect 14-of-15 from the charity stripe.
