The Purdue Northwest Athletics Department celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball and Women's Volleyball locker rooms on Thursday, February 6, 2025 at the Fitness and Recreation Center (FRC) on the Hammond Campus

Rick Costello, Director of Athletics, expressed his gratitude, saying, "Thank you to our generous donors whose support made it possible for Purdue University Northwest to create state-of-the-art locker rooms for the Pride men's basketball, women's basketball, and women's volleyball teams. Locker rooms are essential in providing an exceptional student-athlete experience and is a place where students-athletes create memories that last a lifetime. On behalf of the Pride, we are truly thankful for these incredible new facilities."

The Pride were joined by Purdue University Northwest Chancellor Chris Holford, several donors, alumni, staff members, coaches, and student-athletes from the men's and women's basketball and volleyball teams at the special event. The Grand Opening included student-athlete guided tours of the Fitness and Recreation Center, a reception including remarks by Chancellor Holford, donors, and Olivia Brooke, senior volleyball student-athlete who said, "The generosity reminds us that we are apart of something bigger than ourselves.  Knowing that people support, believe, and invest in PNW student-athletes pushes us to work harder, strive for excellence, and represent our school with pride."  The event concluded the evening with a ribbon cutting by students, staff, donors, and alumni.

Purdue Northwest Athletics is grateful to all the donors and alumni to help make this project happen.
