The Purdue Northwest softball team dropped two highly contest battles at home to GLIAC foe Ferris State on Saturday afternoon. The Pride fell in Game 1, 1-0, and slipped in Game 2, 4-2.

Game 1
The Breakdown
- Freshman Kylie Dugan (Buck Creek, Ind./William Henry Harrison), senior Jessica DeBoer (Dyer, Ind./Illiana Christian), and senior Allison Arnold (Tucson, Ariz./Naperville North) each led the Pride with one hit a piece.
- Senior Gabby Paliska (Palos Park, Ill./Lincoln-Way East (Wisconsin-Green Bay)) started on the mound for the Pride and pitched all seven innings notching three strikeouts.
- Maddie Gkekas led Ferris State with one hit and one RBI.
- Aryn Gallacher started in the circle for the Bulldogs and pitched a complete game win with four strikeouts.
- The game was held scoreless until the fourth inning when Gkekas doubled to score the lone run to make it 1-0.
- The Pride couldn't muster to much offense for the remainder of the game and fell in the end, 1-0.

The Breakdown
- Dugan led the Pride with two hits including one triple.
- Michko added one hit and one RBI.
- Shroyer, Arnold, and sophomore Olivia Hernandez (Aurora, Ill./Aurora Central Catholic) each chipped in one hits
- Senior Maddison Roop (Hudson, Ill./University) started in the circle for Pride and pitched all seven innings with nine strikeouts and one earned run given up.
- Ella McDonald and Abby Meyer led Ferris State with two hits and one RBI.
- Ashley Webb started on the mound for the Bulldogs pitching six innings and earning the win.
- Gallacher came in the game and earned the save.
- The Pride took the early lead off a solo shot by Michko in the first inning to make it 1-0.
- Ferris State tied it up 1-1 in the second inning off a Pride error.
- The Bulldogs took the lead in the fourth off an RBI single to make the score 2-1.
- The Pride tied it up 2-2 scoring off an error by Ferris State to make it 2-2.
- The Bulldogs regained the lead in the sixth inning scoring two runs to make it 4-2.
- Purdue Northwest tried to rally in the sixth and seventh innings but fell short in the end, 4-2.
