- Scoring kicked off in the 3rd inning when Billy Jones () launched a powerful homer, bringing in three runs as Drake Ballard (Louisville, Ky./Martha Laynes Collins) and Gannon Andrews (Portage, Mich./Portage Northern High School) crossed the plate. A single by Aden Johnson () later in the inning extended their lead to 4-0.
- Parkside responded in the 4th inning with a sacrifice fly, getting on the scoreboard. They capitalized on errors in the 6th inning, narrowing the lead to 4-2.
- However, Purdue Northwest's offense roared back in the 6th inning. Billy Jones () and Cole Olson (Stanton, Mich./Central Montcalm) both contributed with singles, adding four unearned runs to their tally. Hayden Matulich's (San Jose, Calif./Pioneer) homer further widened the gap, putting the Pride up 8-2.
- Parkside staged a remarkable comeback in the 7th inning, rallying to tie the game. They strung together hits and capitalized on opportunities, scoring six runs to even the score at 8-8.
- Parkside continued their offensive onslaught in the 8th inning, with a two-run homer extending their lead to 13-8.
- Despite Purdue Northwest's efforts, they couldn't recover, ultimately falling to Parkside with a final score of 13-10.
