On Sunday, Purdue Northwest's baseball team concluded a four-game series against Saginaw Valley State. Unfortunately, the Pride were defeated by the Cardinals with a final score of 11-4.

The Breakdown
- Hayden Matulich (San Jose, Calif./Pioneer) would lead the Pride with two hits and three RBIs.
- Luke Montgomery (Orland Park, Ill./St. Laurence High School) also contributed three hits and an RBI.
- Jake Nightingale (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso) started on the mound for Purdue Northwest throwing three innings while striking out three.
- B. Scheurer led Saginaw with three hits and three RBIs.
- B. Kochany started and threw two innings, striking out three for the Cardinals.
- The Pride got off to a strong start in the third inning, as H. Matulich's double drove in three runs, giving them an early lead. However, Saginaw Valley quickly responded in the fourth inning with A. Cicerone's single, bringing in two runs and narrowing the gap to 3-1.
- The momentum continued to swing in Saginaw Valley's favor in the fifth inning, as R. Raymond's single and L. Mead's double combined to bring in three more runs, giving Saginaw Valley a 7-3 lead. They added another run in the sixth inning and one more in the seventh, extending their lead to 9-3.
- Purdue Northwest attempted a late rally in the ninth inning, with L. Montgomery's triple driving in a run, but it wasn't enough to overcome Saginaw Valley's lead. The final score stood at 9-4 in favor of Saginaw Valley.
