This Sunday the Purdue Northwest baseball team conclude their four game series against Grand Valley State in a lone nine inning game where the Pride would put up a good fight but come up short falling to the Lakers by a score of 9-7.

The Breakdown
- Hayden Matulich (San Jose, Calif./Pioneer) would lead the offensive charge for the Pride with three hits and three RBIs.
- Cole Olson (Stanton, Mich./Central Montcalm) would also contribute two hits and an RBI.
- Jake Nightingale (Valparaiso, Ind./Valparaiso) started on the mound for Purdue Northwest throwing four innings and striking out three.
- K. Nott led GVSU with three hits and two RBIs.
- O. Avery started and threw two innings, striking out two for the Lakers.
- In the second inning Grand Valley State surged ahead, scoring four runs. The first run came from a groundout to second base, followed by another run from a wild pitch. A single to right-center field and a sacrifice fly added two more runs.
- The Pride fought back in the third, totaling four runs. A groundout to first base and a double to left field brought in two runs each.
- The Pride equalized the score at 5-5 with an RBI single to left field. However, Grand Valley State quickly responded, reclaiming the lead with two unearned runs.
- -Purdue Northwest once again tied the game at 7-7 in the sixth with a two-run double to left center field from Matulich.
- In the eighth Grand Valley State surged ahead once more, scoring a crucial run with a double to right center field which would be enough to solidify their victory.
