The Purdue Northwest volleyball team fell to #15 Grand Valley State but battled it out in 3-1 loss in GLIAC action on Saturday afternoon.

- Arra Cottrell (LeClaire, Iowa/Pleasant Valley) led the Pride with a game-high 18 kills and tallied two service aces.
- Junior Marina Gronkiewicz (Munster, Ind./Munster) and Freshman Kennedy Rowzee (Rock Falls, Ill./Newman Central Catholic) added eight kills each while Gronkiewicz also added 16 assists during the game.
- Senior Olivia Brooke (Logansport, Ind./Pioneer HS) guided the Pride with 27 assists and chipped in 14 digs.
- Junior Livia Thomsen (Bettendorf, Iowa/Pleasant Valley) led Purdue Northwest defensively with 19 digs.
- Kendall Stover led Grand Valley State with 13 kills.
- Jordyn Gates handed out a game-best 29Â assists for the Lakers.
The Breakdown
- Grand Valley State took the first set to go up 1-0.
- The Warriors held off the Pride to take the second set for a 2-0 advantage.
- Purdue Northwest did not give up and battled back to take the third set and be down 2-1.
- The fourth set was a back-and-forth battle that the Lakers edge the Pride 27-25 and ultimately take the 3-1 victory.
- Purdue Northwest finished the contest with 53 kills, 47 assists, 62 digs, and six blocks.
- Grand Valley State ended the game with 54 kills, 52 assists, 64 digs, and eight blocks.
