The Purdue Northwest volleyball team defeated Lake Superior State in home and GLIAC opener on Thursday night, 3-1.

- Sophomore Marina Gronkiewicz (Munster, Ind./Munster) dished out a team-high 22 assists and tallied 11 digs during the contest.
- Junior Olivia Brooke (Logansport, Ind./Pioneer HS) chipped in 11 assists and eight digs.
- Marina Velasquez led Lake Superior State with a game-high 14 kills.
- Emily Kalinowski handed out a game-best 35 assists for the Lakers.
