Cottrell and Gronkiewicz earn All-GLIAC honors for Volleyball

Purdue Northwest Volleyball seniors Arra Cottrell (LeClaire, Iowa/Pleasant Valley) and Marina Gronkiewicz (Munster, Ind./Munster) have been recognized among the league's best, earning 2025 All-GLIAC selections after record-setting careers and standout final seasons with the Pride. Cottrell was named to the All-GLIAC Second Team, marking the fourth All-GLIAC honor of her career, while Gronkiewicz earned Honorable Mention recognition, the first conference accolade of her collegiate career.

Cottrell capped her remarkable run at PNW with another dominant offensive season, finishing with a team-high 268 kills. Her performance placed her among the top-10 players in the GLIAC in both kills and points. She leaves the program as the all-time leader in career kills with 1,179 and became the first player in program history to surpass 1,000 career kills. She also closes her career ranked second all-time in blocks after posting 41 this season.

A complete six-rotation contributor, Cottrell added 30 service aces and 139 digs while continuing to anchor the Pride at the net with her blocking presence. Her impact was felt across every statistical category, cementing her legacy as one of the most productive players to ever wear a PNW jersey.

Gronkiewicz turned in her best collegiate season as the Pride's primary setter, finishing with a career-high 825 assists, second-most for a single season in PNW volleyball history. She also finished with 9.07 assists per set which is a career-best and single-season record for PNW volleyball. Her consistency and command of the offense helped drive the Pride attack, and she also emerged as one of the top servers in the nation. Gronkiewicz led the GLIAC in service aces and aces per set, finishing the year with 49 aces while adding 229 digs and 23 blocks to her stat line.

Across her four-year career, Gronkiewicz established herself as one of the most decorated setters in program history. She graduates as PNW's all-time leader in service aces with 132 and second all-time in assists with 2,239.

Both seniors played crucial roles in elevating the Pride program, with their 2025 All-GLIAC honors serving as fitting recognition for their excellence, leadership, and lasting impact on Purdue Northwest volleyball.
