The Purdue Northwest baseball team took on Parkside this Friday in a GLIAC doubleheader where the Pride would split falling in game one 5-7 and taking game two 10-6.

The Breakdown
Game 1, L 5-7 (7 Innings)
- Junior Tyler Nelson () led the Pride with three hits and two RBIs.
- Freshman Owen Winters (Kouts, Ind./Kouts) also contributed two hits and an RBI.
- Freshman Conor Pangburn () started on the mound for the Pride pitching four innings and recording five strikeouts.
- Jared Heinzen led Parkside with two hits and an RBI.
- Noah Gerritson started and pitched three innings for the Rangers and tallied five strikeouts.
- The Pride would take an early lead putting up one run in the first and another in the third to take a 2-0 lead.
- Parkside would retake the lead in the third adding three runs.
- The Pride would tie the game back up in the fifth inning, but the Rangers would add three more runs in the fifth.
- The Pride would add two more runs throughout the game, but the Rangers would add an insurance run and close out the game.
Game 2, W 10-6 (9 Innings)
- Junior Hayden Matulich (San Jose, Calif./Pioneer) led the Pride with two hits and four RBIs.
- Junior Ethan Imlach (Mokena, Ill./Mount Carmel) also contributed three hits.
- Senior Joe Buikema (Chicago, Ill./Notre Dame College Prep) started on the mound for the Pride pitching six innings and recording five strikeouts.
- Andrew Harris Parkside with two hits.
- Andrew Sumner started on the mound for Parkside.
- Each team would put up a run in the first inning until the Pride would explode offensively in the second and third inning putting up five runs. Jonathan Sabotnik () would lead this charge hitting a homer to start the inning.
- Parkside would get a run back in the third, but the Pride would answer back in the form of a Jax Kalemba (Chicago, Ill./Andrean) homerun.
- Parkside would bring the game within one run in the eighth, but the Pride would put up three in the ninth to secure a 10-6 victory.

The Pride will be back in action Sunday, May 7 in Kenosha, WI as they retake on Parkside in another GLIAC doubleheader. Game time is set for 2:00 PM CT.
