Softball splits hard-fought GLIAC road games at Wayne State

The Purdue Northwest softball team split two hard-fought road battles in GLIAC play at Wayne State on Tuesday afternoon, taking Game 1, 4-2, and falling just short in Game 2, 5-3.

  • The Warriors took the lead in the third inning scoring two runs to take a 3-1 lead.
  • Arnold hit an RBI double in the fourth to cut the Pride deficit to 3-2.
  • Purdue Northwest tied the game 3-3 in the sixth inning when Darcy Barkauskas (St. Johns, Ind./Lake Central) earned a walk with the bases loaded.
