The Breakdown

- Junior Luke Montgomery (Orland Park, Ill./St. Laurence High School) also contributed three hits and an RBI.
- Junior Sam Ochoa (Oak Forest, Ill./Oak Forest) started on the mound for the Pride and pitched the first five innings. He notched three strikeouts.
- Graybill led Grand Valley with two hits.
- Pierce started for the Lakers and only pitched 1.1 innings recording two strikeouts.
- The Pride's offense would come out hot putting up four runs in the first two innings to take a 4-0 lead.
- Grand Valley would add two runs in the third but would be held scoreless for the rest of the game.
- The Pride would add two runs in the fourth and add one more run in the eighth to secure a 7-2 victory over the lakers.
