The Purdue Northwest softball team started their Florida Spring Games going 1-1 falling to Northwood, 6-2, then bouncing back to defeat D'Youville 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.
Saturday, March 11 vs. Northwood - L, 6-2
The Breakdown
	- Sophomore Myah Stuckey (Noblesville, Ind./Noblesville) led the Pride with two hits.
 
	- Junior Jessica DeBoer (Dyer, Ind./Illiana Christian) and freshman Olivia Hernandez (Aurora, Ill./Aurora Central Catholic) each added one hit and one RBI.
 
	- Junior Aubrey Shroyer (Napoleon, Ohio/Napoleon) and senior Selena Michko (Dyer, Ind./Lake Central) chipped in with one hit each..
 
	- Junior Emma Hill (Holmes Beach, Fla./Cary-Grove (IL)) started on the mound for the Pride and pitched all six innings.
 
	- Fantin led Northwood with one hit and two RBIs.
 
	- Mutter pitched the first 4.1 innings and earned three strikeouts.
 
	- Northwood started the scoring in the third inning with a run to take a 1-0 lead.
 
	- The Pride rallied off two runs in the fifth inning to take the lead 2-1. This included Hernandez launching her first career homerun.
 
	- The Timberwolves tallied five runs in the sixth inning to seal the win in the end, 6-2.
 
Saturday, March 11 vs. D'Youville - W, 4-1
The Breakdown
	- Michko led the Pride with two hits and two RBIs.
 
	- Freshman Grace Wilson (Plainfield, Ind./Plainfield) added two hits and one RBI.
 
	- Senior Ashley Bravo (Chicago, Ill./Whitney Young) and Shroyer each chipped in two hits during the contest.
 
	- J. DeBoer started in the circle for Purdue Northwest and pitched a complete game win. She only allowed one run and notched four strikeouts.
 
	- Bower led D'Youville with two hits and one RBI.
 
	- Parzych pitched the first 4.0 innings for the Saints and struck out three batters.
 
	- The Pride started the scoring in the first inning and took an early 1-0 lead.
 
	- D'Youville tied the game up 1-1 in the second inning.
 
	- Purdue Northwest regained the lead in the second inning, 2-1, off a Wilson RBI double.
 
	- The Pride added two runs in the fifth inning from a Michko two-RBI single to seal the win, 4-1.
