The Purdue Northwest Indoor men's track and field team traveled to Allendale, Michigan and Chicago, Illinois this Friday to compete in the GVSU Holiday Open and the 2023 Blue Demon Holiday Invite where the team was led by JC Ramirez (Odessa, Texas/Odessa) (Odessa, Texas/Odessa) who took first place in the triple jump at the GVSU Holiday open.

2023 Blue Demon Holiday Invite Notable Results:

• Men's 4x400: The team of Senior Jonathan Davis (Kennesaw, Ga./Allatoona) (Kennesaw, Ga./Allatoona), Senior Corrion Matthews (St. Louis, Mo./Hazelwood Central) (St. Louis, Mo./Hazelwood Central), Junior Bruce Leipart (Hobart, Ind./Hobart HS) (Hobart, Ind./Hobart HS), and Sophomore Max Nauman (Skokie, Ill./Niles West) (Skokie, Ill./Niles West) took second place.
• 800m: Sophomore Brendan Wiegand (Romeo, Mich./Romeo HS) (Romeo, Mich./Romeo HS) took second place, Junior Bruce Leipart (Hobart, Ind./Hobart HS) (Hobart, Ind./Hobart HS) took third place, and freshman Josh Tuck (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton) (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton) finished in fourth.
• 400m: Senior Jonathan Davis (Kennesaw, Ga./Allatoona) (Kennesaw, Ga./Allatoona) took third place.
• 200m: Senior Corrion Matthews (St. Louis, Mo./Hazelwood Central) (St. Louis, Mo./Hazelwood Central) ended the race in third place and sophomore Ryan Coleman (Lansing, Ill./Thornton Fractional South) (Lansing, Ill./Thornton Fractional South) took fourth.
