The Purdue Northwest ACHA D2 Hockey took on and took down Marian University this Friday in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin by a score of 3-2.

Inside the Numbers  

• Freshman Leon Swiatkowski, senior Brandon Prodoehl (Munster, Ind./Munster HS), and freshman Collin Kozijn (Leduc, Alberta) all contributed a goal. 

• Senior Curtis Campbell (Oshawa, Ontario/Maxwell Heights HS) played all sixty minutes in the goal for the Pride and had 33 saves.  

• Tyler Mcarthur played all sixty minutes in goal for Marian and had 34 saves.  

The Breakdown  

• In Period 1, Marian University set the tone with two power-play goals. With the first being scored just 5 seconds into the game, and the second at 3:40, However, the Pride fought back, with Leon Swiatkowski (Mundelein, Ill./Carmel Catholic) and Brandon Prodoehl (Munster, Ind./Munster HS) both finding the back of the net.  

• In Period 2, the game took a turn as the Pride secured the game-winning goal with Collin Kozijn (Leduc, Alberta) finding the net, assisted by Cole Bocock. 

• Period 3 saw no scoring, with the Pride securing a 3-2 victory.
