The Purdue Northwest men's soccer team shut out Saginaw Valley State in big road win in GLIAC action on Sunday afternoon, 2-0.

• Senior Hugo Lorenzo (Madrid, Spain/Guzman el Bueno (William Penn)) led the Pride with one goal and one assist.
• Senior Jacob Battista (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia/Dt Kevin's College (Viterbo University)) added one goal.
• Graduate student Eligh Williams (Gympie, Queensland, Australia/The Southport School) played all 90 minutes in net for the Pride and recorded four saves notching a second-straight shutout. 
• Donna Khewsa led Saginaw Valley State with two shots. 
• Connor Beach played all 90 minutes in frame for the Cardinals and made eight saves 

The Breakdown 

• The Pride scored the first goal of the game in the 23rd minute off a rebound attempt from Battista to give the team a 1-0 lead heading into halftime.
• Lorenzo notched the second goal of the game in the 50th minute to extend the lead for the Pride to 2-0 after going through multiple defenders on the attack.
• Williams and the Purdue Northwest defense played outstanding once again to earn the shut-out in the end, 2-0.
• Purdue Northwest out-shot the Cardinals, 17-7.
