PARK FOREST, Ill. — Sienna Lopez (Glendale Heights, Ill.) recorded a win at No. 1 Singles as Purdue Northwest dropped a conference match to visiting Northwood, 6-1, on Saturday inside the Park Forest Tennis Club.
PNW (4-9, 0-2 GLIAC)) also picked up a win at No. 2 Doubles with the duo of
Oona Kintscher (Berlin, Germany) and
Hayley Tsuen (Johannesburg, South Africa) squeaking by with a 7-5 tiebreaker.
In the Singles portion of the match, Kintscher went three sets in the second flight against Rafaella Fulop but fell 6-2, 6-7 (7-3), 6-3.
Patricia Dizon (Arlington Heights, Ill./St. Viator), Tsuen,
Nicole Uzcategui (Doral, Fla.) and
Mar Vilanova (Girona, Spain) rounded out the PNW lineup in the second conference match of the season. Lopez defeated NU's Elizaveta Velichko 6-4, 6-2 at No. 1 Singles.
UP NEXT
PNW will host Grand Valley State (Friday) and Ferris State (Saturday) next weekend in Park Forest.
