HILLSDALE, Mich. — The Purdue Northwest men's tennis team fell 6-1 at Hillsdale in Sunday's non-conference match.
PNW's lone point came from the sixth singles flight as
Paul Hawes (Naples, Fla.) earned a victory over HC's Sam Clyde 6-0, 6-2.
The doubles point came down to a narrow decision in the top flight as PNW's
Miguel Agustin Flores Cepeda (Monterrey, Mexico) and
Levent Evyapan (Istanbul, Turkey) fell 10-8 in a tiebreaker. PNW's
Luis Alvear (Manacor, Balearic Islands, Spain) and
Marcos Jose Diaz Gutierrez (Guadalajara, Spain) claimed a 6-4 win at No. 3 Doubles, while Hillsdale registered a 6-3 triumph at No. 2 Doubles.
UP NEXT
PNW will host a pair of non-conference matches next weekend against Illinois-Springfield (Friday) and Olivet Nazarene (Saturday) at Park Forest Tennis Club.
