The Men's track and field team traveled to Gately Indoor Facility in Chicago, IL this Friday for their first meet of the year. The team had many high placing finishes with D'shawn Dorsey taking 1^st place in high jump and Kyah Plummer (Warner Robins, Ga./Houston County) taking 1^st in triple jump.

• 60m: Sophomore DJ Willis (Oak Park, Ill./Oak Park - River Forest) finished in 3^rd place and Junior Kyah Plummer (Warner Robins, Ga./Houston County) took 6^th place.
• 400m: Sophomore Hayden Podlin (Dyer, Ind./Lake Central HS) placed 2nd, Freshman Jaydin Blackwell (Oak Park, Mich./Oak Park) finished right behind in 3^rd place, Freshman Max Nauman (Skokie, Ill./Niles West) finished in 5^th place, and Junior Tay Buchanan (Albany, Ga./Evans) took 6^th place.
• 800m: Sophomore Bruce Leipart (Hobart, Ind./Hobart HS) earned a 2^nd place finish with Freshman Brendan Wiegand (Romeo, Mich./Romeo HS) finishing right behind him in 3^rd place.
• Mile: Sopmore Quinton Bock (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point HS) took 5^th place with Junior Carter Leak (North Vernon, Ind./Jennings County HS) finishing in 8^th place.
• 3k: Freshman Jackson Bakker (Lowell, Ind./Lowell HS) finished in 6^th place with Sophomore Quinton Bock (Crown Point, Ind./Crown Point HS) taking 7^th place.
• 60mH: Freshman Wyatt Cordray (Mount Vernon, Mo./Mount Vernon) placed 6th.
• 4x400: The team consisting of Sophomore Hayden Podlin (Dyer, Ind./Lake Central HS), Junior Tay Buchanan (Albany, Ga./Evans), Freshman Max Nauman (Skokie, Ill./Niles West), and Freshman Alex Simmons (Villa Park, Ill./Willowbrook) took 2^nd place.
• HJ:  Freshman D'Shawn Dorsey (South Holland, Ill./Thornwood) took first place, Freshman Eli Baumann (Allendale, Mich./Allendale) placed 3rd, Freshman Zane Cattage (Rockford, Ill./Guilford) took 6^thplaced, and Freshman Skyler McMillen (Ft. Wayne, Ind./Homestead) placed 7^th.
• PV: Freshman Chad Berdine (Chesterton, Ind./Chesterton) earned 3^rd place.
• LJ: Junior Kyah Plummer (Warner Robins, Ga./Houston County) took 6^th place.
• TJ: Junior Kyah Plummer (Warner Robins, Ga./Houston County) took 1^st place, Junior JC Ramirez (Odessa, Texas/Odessa) earned 2^nd place, Freshman Lucas Bass (Maple Park, Ill./Kaneland) took 4^th place, and Freshman Josh Ortiz finished in 8^th place.
