Mikell Cooper (Milwaukee, Wis./Bradley Tech) dropped a season-high 30 points to help lift the Purdue Northwest Men's Basketball over Michigan Tech in a big GLIAC home win on Saturday afternoon, 73-68.

"This was a big win for our team, because as a program you can't skip steps. It's the same thing in life, as a man. You have to face the challenge in front of you and make a decision to be mentally and physically stronger then you've been to that point. And we did that tonight. Tech played great in the first half, and we didn't. But our guys found a different level of toughness in the second half, especially defensively. We just have to have more of that desire moving forward to get to where we want to go. Kell was incredible, carrying us offensively until we had some other guys step up and hit shots. Our bench played really well, and Joan gave us a huge spark when we needed it."
