The short story:Â Purdue Northwest fell 3-1 to Michigan Tech in the women's soccer home finale at Dowling Park this season.
Senior
Haneen Abdulla (Crown Point, Ind.) scored PNW's lone goal in the 79th minute, but the Pride couldn't complete the comeback. Abdulla finished with a touch from close range off a perfect cross into the box by fellow senior
Reannah Soto (Merrillville, Ind.). It was Abdulla's second goal of the season and Soto's first assist.

The visiting Huskies scored all three goals in the opening half, but the Pride responded with a clean half to finish the match on a strong note.

PNW held a 2-0 edge in corner kicks during the second period and shots were nearly even with MTU holding a 6-5 edge in the second half. Overall, the Huskies outshot the Pride 12-5 in shots on target.

Goalkeeper
Ashley Lovins (Huntley, Ill.) earned the start and recorded four saves.
Bridget Grady (Frankfort, Ill.) came on in the second half and logged five saves between the posts.
